Borgh - The innovative fastener specialist.

Borgh is the fastener specialist for construction, industrial and installation sectors. Developing and marketing innovative fasteners and techniques is our profession and our passion. We believe we can only do this well by serving our customers both physically and online. However, approaching customers directly and providing and advising them with appropriate solutions remains the most important basis at Borgh. Our customers consist of professional end-users with medium-sized or small businesses in construction and industry. With more than 200 employees, we are currently active in Europe and South America.

The history of Borgh

1978 – Foundation of Borgh

The history of Borgh's founding begins in 1978. Founder S. Wals saw an opportunity in developing fastening technologies for the construction and installation industry and developing innovations. From day one, the essence was: to market quality fasteners that focused on efficiency and durability, developed from the user's point of view. Almere was chosen as the business location because of its central location and its history. Almere was in fact created by the “out of the box” thinking of pioneers, engineers and builders. A core value that is also still in Borgh's genes today.

1980 – Borgh Belgium

After Borgh in Almere was well and truly established in the Netherlands, Borgh N.V. was founded in 1980 in Ravels, Belgium. Here too, the same philosophy was applied. The branch at that time had 4 employees. Three years later, in 1983, Borgh Belgium moved to a new and larger branch in Arendonk. Sending written orders by mail to the warehouse in Almere became a thing of the past in 1996; with the advent of the fax, all representatives could order customer orders faster. Today, orders are delivered directly from the warehouse in the Netherlands to customers in Belgium by one button or one phone call from the representative. Borgh Belgium has a total of 20 representatives and 7 inside sales staff in 2021.

1993 – Warehouse expansion

Due to tremendous growth in both countries, the warehouse became too small and a larger warehouse with a new office building was moved into in 1993. This location also has the potential for further expansion.

2000 – Borgh Projects

In 2000, Borgh started a new business unit: Borgh Projects. Here, personal advice on façade techniques and products is central for architects, contractors, project developers, façade builders and VVE/housing associations, among others.

2006 – Warehouse extension

Borgh is becoming increasingly well known in the professional market in Europe. In 2005, the warehouse is bursting at the seams and in 2006 the warehouse extension is started, doubling its capacity. In early 2007, the new larger warehouse is put into use.

2008 – Passive building

Sustainable living is becoming increasingly important in the Netherlands. In 2008, Borgh developed high-quality fasteners with the goal of making construction production better, faster and more sustainable. The products developed are intended for facade systems, among other things. This proved to be a hit.

2016 – Borgh in South America

In 2016, Borgh is entering the South American market. With a broad spectrum of technical knowledge, Borgh introduces Brazilian professional end users to its high-quality fastener products at the Brazilian construction fair. This appears to be catching on well in the Brazilian construction and installation industry.

One of Borgh's greatest successes has been the development of specific construction solutions in Brazil and Uruguay in a short period of time, resulting in price and time savings and economic growth for construction and installation professionals.

2016 – Official opening of new office and training center Arendonk, Belgium

In 2016, Borgh Belgium opened its new office and training center in Arendonk, where employees are trained internally and externally.

2017 – Digital orders

In addition to physical sales, Borgh will start taking digital orders on the first-ever Borgh webshop in 2017. Customers will have the option to (re)order main products through a personal account.

2019 - #Kerboshop.com

With the #Kerbo product innovation, Borgh is revolutionizing diamond drilling in 2019. The drills bring a powerful solution whereby faster, easier and more economical drilling can be done in hard natural stone types, such as ceramic tiles. The concept has led to its own webshop, where customers can order the drills separately or in a complete set with machine.

2020 – Borgh.com

In 2020, Borgh.com will be launched. A comprehensive webshop where customers can order all main and ancillary products even faster, easier and more efficiently. The webshop will also offer useful blogs about (new) products and a representatives page where customers and visitors can easily look up representatives in their own region.
